Hey dove! How’re you feeling? What’s been going on in the past week? I’ve been inside for the grater part of it. I’ve suddenly gotten so used to living a life filled with zero routines and no structure. They say it’s not good for the mind. I think so too. Who would’ve thought that I’d suddenly get so used to staying indoors? Okay! If I am being completely honest the signs were there.
Whenever I’d go out I’d be deadbeat tired and not want to go anywhere for almost a week. It’s so rare for me to go out back-to-back. I sorta hate it. I need to learn how to go out because being a content creator that aims at being an influencer or an OAP doesn’t really suit a homebody.
Enough about me. Did the tips I gave in the last newsletter help? I really hope they did. Life is too short for you to make mistakes in your relationship with people. You need to spend your time in relationships that make life worth living.
Anxiety is no one’s friend and I can tell you that for free. My store launches tomorrow and the fear of failure is so high. I really want to make money which means I need to work. I am so scared to apply for roles that I may actually fit into because of the fear of rejection.
I’ve been so focused on all the cons that come with being an adult and finishing school that I’ve missed all the fun and ‘freedom’ it comes with. I can make ‘money moves’ now without bothering about school. I can map out my life a little and chase some things that school seemed to act as a barrier to. I can spend more time with my mum. Being the only child and being far away from her isn’t really a nice thing. Don’t get me wrong, I want to travel and see the world. I want to live on my own. Not sure when that’s going to happen, but let’s keep our fingers crossed.
Today’s tip is a question. ARE YOU READY FOR WHAT YOU WANT?
I’d explain, don’t worry. We look at photos or videos of others and we crave what they have, the lives they live or the personalities they display. Truth is, all we see isn’t all there is.
You want wealth, riches, properties, affluence and all others synonymous to the previously mentioned. Are you ready to lead a quiet humble life? Are you ready to spend wisely and sensibly? Are you ready to stop the impulsive purchases? Are you ready for savings and investments? Of course, are you ready to pay your tithe or immediately you get the huge sum paying 10% becomes a huge problem? Are you ready to bother about not becoming poor again? Yes! Riches require sustenance.
You want to be a boss, an entrepreneur, an ‘oga’ and so on. Meanwhile, the readiness for rejection, set backs, bankruptcy, leadership and the likes isn’t there. Are you ready to delegate roles to others? Are you ready for nights with little or no sleep because a set target has to be reached and even surpassed? Are you ready to face tiredness, fatigue and near collapse because there was no time to feed the ‘food god’?
You want a spotless face, perfect hair and whatnot. Are you ready to grant the lotions and all the time to work? Are you ready to be consistent? Are you ready to be patient? Are you ready for the pain, anger and frustration when a particular method/process isn’t working? Are you ready to put in time and money?
You want to be a ‘public figure’. Are you ready for the hate? Are you ready for the internet trolls that have no other job but to dish out gossip based on you? Are you ready for the dreadfulness of being under the scrutiny of the people ? Are you ready to brainstorm? Are you ready to pull out mind-blowing innovations from your head that can actually influence the public positively?
Before you dream and wish for the good things of life make sure you check the pros and cons involved. Like they say in ads Terms and Conditions apply. You need to know if you can do it and if it would give you satisfaction.
See you next Wednesday my dear dove.
Yours honestly,
Ebube-baby.
